Airport Expansion Project

Started in 2004

Taxiway “P” is an $8-million reorganization of the airside traffic pattern. It is a precondition to the long-range plan to expand the terminal, starting in 2005 with a temporary baggage screening structure. Completion scheduled for fall 2005.

Started in 2005

A temporary structure at Atlantic City International Airport to house the Transportation Security Administration’s state-of-the-art baggage screening equipment and more space for the airlines to sort and dispatch baggage to the right flights.

Interior baggage conveyor belt to serve new structure.

A second escalator conduit near baggage claim, enabling ACY to use existing escalator one-way for departing passengers and new one for arriving passengers.

Renovating the men’s/women’s restrooms on the western side of the airport terminal.

Completed in 2005

A paved parking lot of some 1,000 spaces at Atlantic City International Airport.

Four high-mast apron lighting structures to enhance safety at Atlantic City International Airport when pilots operate after dark.

A renovated women’s rest room on the first floor of the ACY terminal.
